Fire & Smoke celebrate first anniversary by taking to the road on a trail blazing tour of Ireland’s biggest events this summer

Fire & Smoke are today celebrating their first anniversary since launching in 2015 and to celebrate, they are taking to the road on a trailblazing tour of Ireland this summer to fuel the bones and bellies of event goers across the country. The smokin’ hot product will be present at some of Ireland’s biggest events this summer including Hell and Back Wicklow, Ring of Kerry Cycle, Castlepalooza, Rock n Roll Marathon and the Ploughing Championships, offering event goers the chance to taste the hellishly good snack.

Ahead of the tour, Fire & Smoke asked the nation to reveal the truth out about family events, races and festivals in Ireland.

  • 64% voted the Ploughing Championships as the best family event to attend in Ireland
  • 70% voted the Ring of Kerry cycle as the best race event to attend
  • 42% admit that Conor McGregor is the celebrity they would most like to attend a festival with
  • 51% admit to sneaking into festivals without a ticket

Fire and Smoke will be present at this year’s Castlepalooza festival from July 1st-July 3rd. Ahead of this, they asked Irish people reveal their past festival confessions. 51% of Irish people admitted to sneaking into a festival before without buying a ticket, 48% told how they have woken up in a strangers tent at a festival at least once before, while 72% said wellies had to be included in their ideal festival outfit. 52% of those questioned also told how they needed to shower each day while attending a festival in Ireland.

Fire & Smoke comes in 7 different varieties including Fire Grilled Ham & Chicken Shavings, Maple Smoked Fire Grilled Ham, Bourbon Smoked Fire Grilled Ham, Prime Slow Cooked Fire Grilled Chicken Breast, Slow Cooked Fire Grilled Prime Turkey Breasts and a ham and turkey deli-counter offering. The delicious joints of meat are cooked low and slow for more than eight hours, glazed, then fire grilled over flames and smoked with oak wood chips for a smokin’ hot flavoursome filler.
