Top chef and food writer Rozanne Stevens‘ cookbook ‘Relish BBQ’ came second in the BBQ category at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards and received the ‘Best in the World’ award.
The Gourmand Awards are like the Oscars of the cookbook world. Established in 1995 by Edouard Cointreau of the famous Cointreau family, this is the most prestigious award for cookbooks. With entries from 187 countries, the competition is fierce. Normally held concurrently with the Paris Cookbook Fair, this is year the awards were held in Beijing as China is the largest market for cookbooks, both Chinese and European and American titles translated into Chinese.
