Almond Butter

Thank you for your rating!

Making your own almond butter is actually really easy, all you need to make your own creamy almond butter is a food processor or something like a NutriBullet. Check out how to video here

Ingredients

  • 250g whole almonds

Instructions

  1. When making the plain almond butter, you can choose to first roast the almonds lightly, otherwise you can use them raw.
  2. If roasting, preheat oven to 180°C/350°F/gas 4. Spread almonds on a baking tray and roast for 5 minutes. Remove from oven and leave to cool completely.
  3. To make the nut butter, place whole almonds into the bowl of a food processor and turn it on. Leave processor to run until the consistency is of nut butter, this can take between 10 – 30 minutes depending on the power of your food processor. Also, the longer you run the processor, the smoother your nut butter will be.
  4. When finished, pour or spoon almond butter into a sterilised jar and seal.
