  • 150g ground almonds
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 100ml buttermilk
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • For the topping:
  • 6 plums, halved and stoned
  • 50g flaked almonds
  • To serve:
  • Whipped cream
